Devonport footballer Ethan Stephenson remained in the Royal Hobart Hospital on Monday after being seriously injured in an NWFL match on Saturday.

Stephenson suffered concussion in the North-West Football League game between Ulverstone and Devonport, with the match halted the game as they waited for medical assistance.
Based on medical advice at the ground, Stephenson was flown to Hobart to undergo surgery.
Devonport coach Troy Davies said everyone in the club has their fingers crossed for a fast recovery.
“He is very fit young man and hopefully entails that he will have a speedy recovery in Hobart,” Davies said.
Stephenson is well known in the Tasmanian football community and has been a part of the development pathway.
This season the talented Stephenson has played 10 games as a midfielder between Devonport’s TSL and NWFL teams, kicking two goals.
