While the annual event is about getting active, there will be a raffle on the day to raise funds for up to 10 students for a national school sports competition in August.
Newstead Athletics secretary Barbara Clayton said a handicap system meant anyone could win the three different race distances, 1.5, three and six kilometres, starting at the Westbury Village Green.
“The best idea is to turn up. If you wait until you think you’re ready, then you’ll never quite get there,” Ms Clayton said.
It costs $5 to run with a social sausage sizzle and lucky door prizes at the end.
