Ward 6D remains under infection protocols as a result of the outbreak, which was first reported on Friday.
”As of 7pm, six patients have tested positive for influenza A,” Tasmanian Health Service chief operations officer Nicola Dymond said on Saturday evening.
“No other patients are showing symptoms at this time.”

The ward will not take any admissions until the cases are contained, and additional cleaning is being conducted as per infection control procedures.
“Entry to the ward is being strictly controlled to prevent infection being spread to other parts of the hospital,” Ms Dymond said.
“Visitors are reminded that they will not be permitted entry to the ward under current control protocols.
“Staff are to be commended for their efforts in managing this situation, with the status of the ward being continually reviewed.”
