Bass Liberal MHA Sarah Courtney said the North-East continued to grow as a mountain bike and tourism hot spot. An additional $800,000 was budgeted in the 2017/18 state budget.
Ms Courtney said the government was committed to supporting the emerging tourism industry by enhancing the visitor experience for mountain biking visitors and locals.
The Anchor Stamper heritage site works have also been completed. The works have improved car parking and re-instated walking track access to the site that cost $12,000. Works to Anchor Road and Lottah to Poimena Road, worth $165,000 have been completed too.
