Kaide Raymond Dane Baker, of Longford, pleaded guilty to one count of behave in an offensive manner in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Monday.
Baker was charged after writing “terrorist” related comments on a fence at Blundstone Arena during a match against South Africa in November.
He was convicted and fined $471 and ordered to pay $81.09 in court costs.
The message was believed to have been targeted at touring batsman and former captain Hashim Amla.
After the incident, Baker was banned from going to the cricket in Australia for three years.
