An elegant verandah design connecting classrooms and outdoor sports fields now complements the school’s focus of learning.
The project began in 2014 and was formally opened on Monday.
Riverside Primary principal Jane Bovill said the design was “a great success”.
“Home Base has been a hit with our students and it’s been a wonderful experience to work with the University’s enthusiastic and passionate design students,” she said.
UTAS Deputy Head of School Ceridwen Owen said the project had been an “extremely valuable community partnership”.
