Liffey Falls road and walk reopened after June floods

Liffey Falls walking track and picnic area has reopened to the public after the completion of repairs.

The picnic area and walking track were damaged during the June floods.

Repairs included a track re-route of the assets in the lower Liffey campground, construction of a new road bridge on the upper Liffey access road and reconstruction of the roadway, such as culvert installation and gabion works.

The works were part of the state government’s $8.7 million commitment to repairing flood damaged roads.
