Launceston residents continue to pay more than regional Australia for unleaded petrol.
According to the Australian Institute of Petroleum, Launceston motorists pay on average, 138.8 cents per litre.
That is comparable to the Tasmanian state average of 138.5 cents per litre.
But the average price for fuel in regional Australia is 130.0 cents per litre.
At 142.2 cents per litre, Burnie pays the most for fuel in the state.
