On June 24 a massive garage sale will be held in Tasmania’s north to raise money for a chicken farm project run by the Mafubira United Aids Ministry in Uganda.
Baptist pastor Robert Tosumbira established the ministry for children left on the street after the death of their parents due Aids.
Mr Tosumbira has two projects that would make the orphanage self sufficient: A free range chicken farm, and a bus project for local transport needs.
To help with funding the projects Launceston resident Ann Edwards has organised a garage sale at the Heather Hall on Penquite Road, Newstead, from 8am to 2pm on June 24.
