The Buckingham Rowing Club and Tasmanian Institute of Sport athlete will join Addy Dunkley-Smith, of Melbourne’s Mercantile Rowing Club, Kate Rowan (University of Queensland) and Katie Michelmore (Melbourne University) in a crew that will also compete at the Holland Beker regatta in Amsterdam.
Volker did not stand for national selection this season as she wished to complete her University of Tasmania studies.
The crew is preparing on the Derwent River under the guidance of Buckingham senior women’s coach Neil Stump who will accompany them on the trip to Europe on Tuesday.
The Henley Regatta will include the women’s four for the first time in its 178-year history. The women’s four has also been included in the Tokyo Olympics program for the first time.
