Three West Tamar properties could be sold over late rates

Properties at Beauty Point, Kelso and Beaconsfield could be sold by the council to recover unpaid rates outstanding for three years or more. 

The property at Auburn Road, Beaconsfield consists of vacant land and owes $2,443.21 to the council.

A total of $5,615.58 is owed for a piece of vacant land at Frederick Street, Beauty Point.

While rates worth $3,559.27 are overdue for vacant land at Greens Beach Road, Kelso.

The West Tamar Council will vote on whether to put the properties to auction at Tuesday’s meeting.
