But there was one particular piece that caught our attention; a black wedding dress by Timeless Elegance Bridal.
The dress features a tutu-style skirt with a fitted waist. It looks like a traditional wedding dress but it’s black.
Timeless elegance bridal’s Louise Scott said the dress wasn’t a political statement, but rather something alternative for the catwalk.
“It was just for a wow factor. And to really off-set the flowers,” she said.
While black dresses aren’t hot in demand, Ms Scott said she has had a few requests over the years.
“I want people to think outside of the square, they’ don’t have to wear white,” she said.
“It is something we put together in the store and it got us excited because it was something a little bit different.”
Ms Scott said many people don’t realise that Timeless Elegance Bridal can create any type of dress in any colour.
More than 60 exhibitors from across the state showcased their products at the expo.
