Deloraine and Westbury get more than 22 security cameras

Westbury and Deloraine will get $60,000 worth of security cameras within the next year.

More than 20 fixed-dome cameras will be installed in the communities.

The funding was an election promise last year, with the Commonwealth federal government provided $50,000 and council contributed $10,000.

The money was allocated as part of the government’s Safer Communities Fund.

The cameras are expected to be installed before the end of the coming financial year.
