Working with the organisation for more than six years, Ms Cahoon announced her resignation on Tuesday.
“I would like to thank the Cityprom membership for their support over the past six years,” Ms Cahoon said.
“It is an exciting time for the city with continuing growth in the tourism sector … with so many positive developments on the horizon, I look forward to seeing the organisation continue to go from strength to strength under the leadership of a new executive officer.”
Ms Cahoon has accepted a position with Launceston’s City Mission as a marketing & fundraising manager.
Cityprom chair Andrew Pitt said Ms Cahoon had “created so much for Launceston’s CBD”.
“The board of Cityprom congratulate Vanessa on her appointment to the City Mission,” he said.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to have had Vanessa as our executive officer … we will miss her.”
Ms Cahoon will finish up in her role with Cityprom on June 30.
