The former Launceston man wants to locate the 1966 HR Holden sedan for one special reason – it belonged to his late brother, Martyn Dean.
Mr Dean was killed during an altercation at Mowbray after the Launceston Cup in 2008.
Nearly a decade later and Mr Lloyd is continuing to search for his brother’s sedan.
Now living in Western Australia, Mr Lloyd is back in Tasmania this week and hopes to finally track the car down.
“I’m trying so hard to find it, for the sentimental value and I want it back in the family,” Mr Lloyd said.
The vehicle was originally painted blue but may have since been painted dark green. It’s previous registration was HR6000.
