Playing at the Royal Oak Hotel tonight, everything from burlesque to magic and music has found a place in this unique extravaganza.
Among the highlights this year is Princess Tweedle Needle from Berlin, a seasoned sideshow performer who has taken audiences across the world by storm with her mix of fakirism and comedy.
Local performer Samora Squid said this year’s line up was something special.
“It’s the kind of thing I would have loved to go and see when I was growing up in Launceston,” he said.
“This is a good opportunity for people in the region to see an international level act like Princess Tweedle Needle, as well as some local music acts that are really making a name for themselves.
“It’s going to be fun, dangerous, sexy and exciting all rolled into one.”
The Something Different Variety Show runs from 9pm-1am tonight at The Royal Oak Hotel.
Tickets are $10 on the door.
