The demonstration, held in conjunction with Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Tamar Valley Branch, Tamar NRM and Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture, compares four pasture plots so producers can see a range pasture species at once.
Pasture mixes of perennial ryegrass and white clover, tall fescue and strawberry clover, cocksfoot and red clover, and plantain and red clover have been established for the event.
The field day is on Friday, June 2, at Greenhythe, Archers Rd, Hillwood, between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
