Tasmania Police is following a specific line of inquiry in relation to the search and wish to reiterate there is no threat to the public.
Police wish to thank the public for their assistance and patience in relation to this matter.
EARLIER: Tasmania Police is responding to reports of a person allegedly armed in the Rosny Park Golf Club area.
Police have reassured the public there is no cause for alarm at this stage but officers would like to speak to a student who was riding a bicycle on the gravel track near the golf course about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
The student may have been threatened by two young people wearing hoodies.
Police are on the scene searching the area but the youth who was riding the bike should call Bellerive Police on 131 444.
