Cavs are coming off a 56-36 loss on the road to Karana.
“It will certainly be a tough match for us this week, facing up against an experienced Arrows line up,” assistant coach Nicole Williams said.
“After last weekend’s loss we have a lot of areas we need to improve on, particularly we need to value our centre pass and make sure our execution of basic skills doesn’t let us down.
“The girls have trained extremely well this week and know they face a tough opposition on the weekend. Our message to the girls has been to focus on the basics and do them well, making sure we maintain confidence and patience all over the court.”
Williams said Cavaliers will be looking to target Arrows’ experienced attacking end. “The strengths of Sophie Gunn, Hayley Sampson and Emily Sharp in attack will be one of our foci in the lead up to the game this week and we will look to shut their strengths down early.”
Despite losing three of their last four games, Cavaliers have managed to maintain a strong defensive game.
“The amount of turnovers we have produced through our defensive pressure all over the court is pleasing but we need to capitalise with composure and patience bringing the ball down the court.”
Northern Hawks have a bye.
