The Million Paws Walk, the RSPCA’s biggest annual fundraiser, will begin at 11am on Sunday at the Inveresk Precinct off Invermay Road.
RSPCA Launceston marketing and fundraising coordinator Melanie Knight said anyone could attend, with or without an animal.
The Million Paws walk has been on the RSPCA’s calendar for 22 years.
After poor weather affected last year’s event in Launceston, Ms Knight is hopeful hundreds of people will return this year.
“All the money raised by RSPCA Tasmania stays in Tasmania,” she said.
“We hope that each year we see increased support.”
But Ms Knight urged people to ensure their dogs were fully vaccinated and healthy before they attended the walk.
Before 5pm on Saturday, online tickets are $25 for an adult, $15 for a child and $50 for a family.
They are slightly more expensive on Sunday.
