The independent tribunal accepted the evidence of all witnesses and Whitford was given the sanction of a low level reprimand. The strike was that of a jumper punch.
Mott had his charge of rough conduct against Whitford dismissed with the tribunal deciding the contact that was made was not of a high nature and was a part of the contest.
