The event doubled as a chance for Targa drivers to test out their cars ahead of the main event on Monday.
Event director Mark Perry said riding in a Targa car made theme parks look boring by comparison.
“Generally most people get out of the car with great appreciation for what a Targa driver and team do, how fast they go and the skill required,” Mr Perry said.
“Most people get out of it and start looking for their next ride because of the adrenalin, they just want to get back out there.”
A Targa expo will be held at the Silverdome at 6pm Sunday.
