Northern drug squad officers and Launceston criminal investigation branch detectives located the 48 kilograms of cannabis head at properties at Rosevears and West Launceston earlier this week.
The ready-for-sale drugs are estimated to be worth $350,000.
A 29-year-old male and a 32-year- old male, both of Rosevears, have been charged with drug trafficking and will appear before the Launceston Magistrates Court at a date to be confirmed.
Launceston CIB boss Inspector Scott Flude said the seizure would have a significant impact on cannabis sales in Tasmania.
"This is certainly the largest cannabis head seizure in my 30-year career, and it will undoubtedly put a major dent in local supply," he said yesterday.
Investigations are continuing.
