“Certainly the structure will be complete and but it is big job to fit out. We are progressing pretty well now,” he said.
“The fourth level was poured a week ago and we are hoping to pour the Eastern wing by end April.
“This is where the restaurant and conference centre are.”
Mr Stewart said cutting into the silos had been “a breeze” but a lot of labour and concrete had to go into the development.
“I think the crane will be up all year, maybe it will come down around Christmas, but it will be very handy to lift furniture on to the decks so we will leave it up as long as possible,” he said.
The overall project will cost $20 million and the first concrete pour at the site was in August.
Mr Stewart also hinted at another plan which is coming together for the land behind Officeworks and JB Hi-Fi.
“We have a plan coming together across the road from the Silos which will be another significant development so stay tuned,” he said.
