The Store will be a retail shopfront for the National Trust and will focus on selling items that express what the brand of the National Trust is all about.
The first newly branded retail space opened up at Old Government House, Paramatta, last week, and a second store is expected to be open at Como House, Melbourne, soon.
The Store will open on Wednesday in Evandale’s old saddlery building in the main street of the town.
It is the result of a huge collaborative effort that will help to cement the National Trust as a cohesive, nationwide organisation.
The shops will stock a wide range of price points and quality design products by local and international artisans including ceramics, home wares, books, gardening products, children’s gifts and stationery.
The curated items have been selected with an emphasis on enduring quality and longevity and represent a connection to the many varied National Trust properties around Australia.
The Store will provide its customers with the opportunity to discover more about the world of the National Trust; heritage, architecture, gardens, art, the natural environment, literature and community.
All revenue generated from The Store’s retail merchandising activities will help support the work of the National Trust.
The Tasmanian headquarters of the National Trust is currently at Franklin House. For more information on the National Trust go to www.nationaltrust.org.au/tas/
