Submitted by William Baker, it asks the council to reduce the speed from 70km/h to 60km/h until at least number 19, West Tamar Road.
It also asks the council to implement a two-hour parking limit, except for residents, between 1 and 17 West Tamar Road.
“Dangerous and reckless driving on West Tamar Road seems to be increasing,” the petition said.
“It is common for users to far exceed [the] limit … it is only a matter of time before a resident attempts to enter the carriageway and is killed in a collision … near misses are almost a daily occurrence.”
