The bus, which has been recently painted and decorated, was in regular use by community groups before funding cuts were made to the region’s health programs over the new year.

Commonwealth Home Support program coordinator Eve Taylor said the vehicle was available to any group which benefited the community.

“At the time the bus was funded it was really needed, but now that it’s not used as much we are looking at ways we can enhance experiences for people that now don't have it because of that loss of funding,” Mrs Taylor said. 

“We're just wanting to let people know we're here and what we can do.”

The bus can be hired for $50 a day or $25 for half a day.
