“I enjoy seeing the different faces each time because you never have the same people sitting down to watch,” he said.
“It’s always different crowds and it can go really well or really bad and that’s what makes it exciting.”
The 17-year-old will be just one of the musicians taking part in inaugural Telstra Quadrant Mall Youth Busking Competition.
The event will be held in celebration of National Youth Week and will form a part of Launceston’s annual Crazy Day event on Saturday, April 1 from 11am to 2pm.
“Through our busking program, we have seen first-hand just how much local talent we have here in Launceston, this competition provides an opportunity for our young people to be recognised,” Cityprom’s Laura Wilson said.
The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 12 to 25 with each performance limited to no longer than 5 minutes.
