A further $6 million in 2022-24 has been earmarked for the renewal of the Riverside Swimming Pool.
Mayor Christina Holmdahl said the Legana project also included an additional $2.8 million federal government grant.
“In regards to land acquisition the council has … complete the program related to the Legana project, all the land that is required to make the Legana Structure Plan a reality has been purchased by the council,” she said.
“The financial variability is there and the funding is built in through our reserves.”
Cr Holmdahl said when the time comes the council may also seek a top up grant for the pool revitalisation.
“It is a long-term project and we don’t have exact dates yet but the swimming pool has a finite life and we are monitoring that to see how it is travelling,” she said.
The Financial Management Strategy will include funds for general rubbish services like roads, storm water and rubbish collection.
