Bester, who first started scoring for Clarence as a 13-year-old progressed through the ranks, eventually scoring for Westbury Cricket Club in the North followed by a return to Hobart to score for SHSB.
His accolades as one of Tasmania's best scorers include state duties, NTCA representative matches, Futures League and domestic (Sheffield Shield, BBL & WBBL) and International matches held in Tasmania.
“I always had the support of some great scorers as a young person with a lot of experience especially up North, and scoring on the North-West Coast which has benefited me in the longer run and at times even recently which has been very handy,” Bester said in an interview on the Cricket Tasmania web site.
