Many young players are experiencing their first senior game and have taken to the higher level of competition with much excitement.
When Saints White played Eagles Gold there were solid performances from first-base player Abbie Tregurtha with the bat and on the field supported by Renea Woodcock, Maddie Barron and D’Artanyan Bantick while Jacob Williams, Taylah Holton and Amanda Ackroyd played consistently for Eagles Gold.
Saints got the jump on the Eagles men in the first innings scoring eight runs to come away with a 9-1 win despite Eagles pitcher Matthew Bird managing to stem the run flow.
The junior competition offers young players modified games where they are able to improve their skills. T/ball is in week three of its program for new players who are welcome to attend from 8.45-10am on Saturdays.
