The founders of Adam’s Distillery celebrated the next step in their business venture with an open day at their Perth site on Sunday.
Mr Saunders said they were excited to see their “dreams finally come true” after a “long battle” to get the distillery up and running.
“I almost still feel like this is still a dream … it’s unbelievable, just fantastic,” he said.
The duo moved the business to Glen Ireh Estate at Perth after a rejection from the City of Launceston in March.
Less than nine months later and Mr Pinkard said they were ahead of schedule.
“Now it’s just going to be a two-year wait,” he said.
“We’re hoping to have our first release out around Christmas 2018, but of course the barrel will dictate when it’s ready so we are sort of slaves to the whisky.”
Whisky enthusiasts can pre-order with 20 litre barrels available.
