Belinda Leone Colbran and Nathan Thomas Smith appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Sunday before a Justice of the Peace.
The 39-year-old Ravenswood woman and 32-year-old Newnham man were taken into custody on Saturday after police received reports of a man being stabbed at a Parua Road address.
Officers arrived at the scene about 10pm Friday and will allege a 41-year-old man was found with “several stab wounds”.
The man was transported from the scene by ambulance, but died before arriving at the hospital as a result of his wounds, police say.
The victim has been identified as Aaron Matthew Monaco, of Newnham.
Police say they interviewed Ms Colbran and Mr Smith on Saturday and charged both with the murder of Mr Monaco.
The pair appeared before Justice of the Peace Nigel Forteath at 10am Sunday but did not enter a plea.
They were remanded to reappear on Tuesday at 2.15pm.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
“The investigation into the matter is still continuing and investigators are interested in hearing from anyone who may have knowledge of the murder or information that might assist that investigation,” Detective Inspector Darren Hopkins said.
Mr Monaco’s next of kin have been notified by police.
