Lamprecht joined five compatriots in Portugal’s Peneda-Gerês National Park.
She completed the 85-kilometre course with 4680 meters of climbing in 13 hours 25 minutes 19 seconds, coming in 176th of the 197 finishers.
Lamprecht described it as an “unforgettable experience”. “It’s a dream come true to represent Australia,” she said on Facebook.
“Unfortunately the heat really hit me and I ran out of water at the start of the second and biggest climb.
“By the time I'd reached the top, I was already too dehydrated to recover.”
Unable to take on any food or water, Lamprecht was given an anti nausea tablet at 72km mark which helped her complete the event.
”I've never been so happy to see a finish line,” added Lamprecht, whose partner John Claridge was part of her support crew. “I’m disappointed with the performance but really proud of myself for sticking it out. The toughest race I've ever done.”
