The game was reduced to 15 overs per team with reigning premier South Launceston making 3-104, after being sent in to bat. Courtney Webb top scored with 38 not out, off 31 balls, with five fours, combining in a 70-run partnership with captain Belinda Wegman who made 32, off 37, before being bowled by Ianthe Boden.
Webster and Amy Duggan then added a 23-run partnership to take them to 104. Maddie Hill finished with figures of 1-10 off two overs and Boden 1-14 off two.
Riverside made a good start to their run chase with Manix-Geeves and Boden putting on a 38-run partnership before Boden was bowled for 12 by Duggan. South’s Stacey Norton-Smith then ripped through the batting line-up claiming excellent figures of 5-5, off three overs as Riverside lost 5-11 to finish at 8-68.
