Renee Marshall and Zack Gilmore took out Launceston Toyota’s Local Sporting Legends photographic competition.
The four-month competition recognised and celebrated Tasmanian stars with entrants asked to capture special sporting moments on their camera.
Marshall’s winning entry was a picture of Gilmore riding his bike along the Tamar River boardwalk at Royal Park.
“When I heard about the competition my first thoughts were to give Zack a call because he is definitely a local legend in my eyes,” Marshall said.
“Zack has been on a journey with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the past 12 months and is now in remission.
“I am proud of him after everything he has been through he is now back on his bike and training.”
Marshall said the pair would likely sell the car valued at $15,990 to fund a “much needed” family holiday and for Gilmore to ride in Europe.
