Launceston’s former middleweight world champion Daniel Geale is weighing up his future following Friday’s shock loss to fellow Sydneysider Renold Quinlan.

“At this stage I’ll take a few days to gather my thoughts and just spend time with my family,” said the 35-year-old father-of-four.
“I have had heaps of good support.”
Geale said he had a “little lapse” in concentration when a stunning left hook from Quinlan, 27, felled him 74 seconds in to the second round.
He hit the canvas and managed to stumble to his feet, but referee Gary Ingraham swiftly stopped the IBO super middleweight world title fight at the Silverdome in Launceston.
“I was just getting in to the fight, I started to get away,” Geale said.
“Sometimes you get caught. It is very frustrating because I had a plan. I wanted to be smart.
“I knew he would come out hard early.
“I had a little lapse of concentration.”
