Launceston singers Sean Brown and Molly Doyer launched their new song ‘Fighter’ on social media, receiving over 40,000 views within a matter of hours.
“I wrote this song back in February after seeing people around me affected by mental illness,” Mr Brown said.
“Molly and I were both bullied in school and we wanted to create something that would empower kids in the community.”
Since launching the clip on Sunday, Mr Brown said he had been inundated with messages of support from the public.
“I’ve had a lot of messages from young adults as well who say they relate to it and they've been listening to it when they're feeling down,” he said.
Throughout the video, people from all walks of life share words of encouragement with the audience.
“Mental illness doesn’t discriminate and there’s just so many people fighting a battle,” Mr Brown said.
