Angelique Sanders was the only Tasmanian among 222 cyclists who rode from Brisbane to Sydney for the 10th annual Tour de Cure.
The 1518 kilometre 10-day ride has so far raised $5.8 million to fund cancer research, support and prevention projects.
More than $13,000 of that was raised by Ms Sanders herself through a fund-raising breakfast.
Preparation included riding 400 kilometres each week in the four months leading up to the event.
It was her second time participating in the ride.
“For me I think it is having young children and hoping one day there will be a cure, and I’ve had friends with breast cancer,” she said.
Mrs Sanders listed the scenery and school visits as highlights of the journey, which ended May 8.
“I’d love to do it again,” she said.
