Luke Morrisk, 15, said he designed a construction site using existing Lego sets and his own creations.
“I want to be an architect so I use all these ideas and see how I can improve,” he said.
Hobart resident Jesse Albert said he enjoyed putting together his creative display, which combined his favourite Marvel superheroes with Star Wars characters and moving trains.
“Down the line I want to make a city from scratch and I get a lot of ideas off YouTube,” he said.
Brixhibition organiser Ken Draeger showcased Lego’s SmartBrick, which allows Lego builders to control their creations using their smartphone.
He said he expected about 8000 to attend over the weekend.
Brixhibition will be held at the Albert Hall on Sunday from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
Entry is $5 for adults, $3 for children, $15 for a family.
