Hobart tattoo artist Hannah Flowers had her works at the ready at Albert Hall, having practised the craft for the past five years with a focus on neo-traditional style.
“I’ve always loved art and this is one of those rare jobs that pays well for art,” the 26-year-old said.
Miss Flowers said 80 per cent of her business came through Facebook and Instagram.
First on her tattoo table was Launceston’s Kelly Roberts got inked with a custom-designed burlesque lady.
She said the pain of a tattoo was bearable.
Ash Thorp, of Hobart studio Ink’s Finest, is one man who knows what bearable pain feels like.
The 25-year-old is covered in hundreds of tattoos with many covering his face and top of his skull.
He also boasts subdermal implants in his left forearm and a magnet in his finger.
The expo continues on Saturday at 9am until 10pm and Sunday 9am until 7pm.
