The state government has announced a new chairman of Forestry Tasmania.
Deputy Premier Bryan Green today announced that Bob Annells will take over the role vacated by Miles Hampton, who resigned on September 16.
At the time, Mr Hampton, who was appointed on August 27, said he had lost faith in the state government's plans to separate FT's commercial and non-commercial operations.

Mr Annells is the former director of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation.
Mr Green said the appointment of Mr Annells will provide Forestry Tasmania, its workforce and stakeholders with stability and certainty.
"Mr Annells has wide business experience and is an exceptional choice to take on the role of Chair," Mr Green said.
"The Government wants to ensure the board of Forestry Tasmania has the leadership and necessary skills and expertise to move the business forward."
