The group consists of robot and engineering fanatics who have travelled to international robotics competitions.
Mentors will teach attendees how to design and build robots out of materials including LEGO.
The workshops are suitable for 10 to 16-year-olds with any level of experience working with robots.
Workshop co-ordinator Kathryn Heathcote said the workshops offered invaluable education.
"It's engineering, and engineering is the future," Ms Heathcote said.
"This should interest children of all ages, beginners and kids that have already learnt to use the bricks."
Program mentor and University of Tasmania engineering student Alex Mountney said the program was enjoyable for students and mentors.
"Essentially I enjoy doing this because it's very close to the career I want to get into, robotics is what I've been interested in basically since I could walk," Mr Mountney said.
