Launceston will host the men's and women's under18 Australian championships at its St Leonards ground, with Hobart taking the women's masters next year, and the men's masters in 2017.
Hockey Australia Competitions and Officiating manager David White and Launceston mayor Albert van Zetten will host a press conference at Launceston Town Hall from 2.30pm.
A Hobart conference at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre will be held from 1.30pm with Premier Will Hodgman, Hockey Australia chief executive Cam Vale, Hockey Tasmania president Ken Reid and chief executive Bob Gregory.
Premier Will Hodgman said 10 tournaments would be held from 2016 to 2021, with $495,000 contributed through Events Tasmania during five years.
''This event brings a high level of guaranteed interstate visitors, with an estimated minimum 13,200 players, officials, family and friends over five years,'' Mr Hodgman said.
''This means an estimated 100,000 total bed nights across the state, injecting an estimated $12 million across the state during the quieter winter months, which represents a great return on investment.''
