Robert Charles Mansell, 42, of Lady Barron, was swept off rocks at the mouth of the North-East River by waves on Saturday morning.
Three days of searching have failed to find Mr Mansell, who police believed is now dead.
Police will search northern Flinders Island beaches today for him, before potentially up-scaling their search on Thursday.
EARLIER: POLICE will undertake one last large-scale search for a missing Flinders Island man, who fell into choppy water on Saturday morning.
Police, rescue crews and residents will take to the beach, sea and air in an effort to find a 42-year-old man who was swept off rocks at the mouth of the North-East River about 9am.
Today's search will be the third of its kind in as many days.
If it fails, police are expected to scale back their attempt and reconvene later this week.
