WITH the next state budget just hours away, the economic blueprint is guaranteed to dominate Question Time this morning. Ministers have already leaked most of the big ticket items in the lead-up to the big day. We now know there will be a $100 million injection to boost frontline health services. Last year, $200 million was cut from the state's health system over the next four years. It is not yet clear exactly how the $100 million will be spent or how many - if any - new staff will be employed as a result. Education Minister Jeremy Rockliff has also announced an $18 million numeracy and literacy program aimed at children in kindergarten to year two. And $130 million will be spent on capital works across the North and North West, in addition to existing funding for roads, dams and rail infrastructure. Meanwhile, expect more questions on the government's investigation into outsourcing traffic signal management. Yesterday, the opposition claimed the ''grubby and non-transparent'' process had left departmental staff in an untenable situation. In the upper house, MLCs are expected to give in-principle support to controversial changes to the Anti-Discrimination Act within hours. The changes would allow faith-based schools to reject prospective children based on their religion regardless of class subscription levels.
