In particular, Mini Coopers and Mini Mokes.
Rod, 67, of Shearwater, and Greg, 39, of George Town, finished refurbishing an Indigo Blue 1968 Mini Cooper two years ago and have just completed the transformation of a 1975 Mini Moke into a ute, or better known as a M-ute.
"The Mini sat in our shed for about 20 years and then Greg got into it about three years ago and spent a bit over 12 months bring it all together," Rod said.
"Then we decided to have ago at making Moke ute.
"We have had a Moke for about 12 years and enjoyed driving that around Australia.
"We have spent just over 12 months on the Moke, working on it most days.
"They did actually produce Mini Moke utes in a limited production but we just like the idea of it.
"We basically started with a bare shell and had it sandblasted and worked our way up from there.
"We tried to contain much of the Mini Moke stuff such as the tail lights.
"Essentially is has got a Cooper S motor in it."
Greg added: "Everything has been custom-made or modified in some way," he said.
"Its a common interest, we circuit raced a mini for a long time and it is something and we can do as father and son."
"Greg does all the mechanical work and my back ground is electrical so I take care of that side of things."
A group of Moke enthusiasts from across the nation will be in Tasmania on Saturday, February 28, to tour parts of the state.
