Mr Wilson’s To Name Those Lost - a father-and-son story set against the backdrop of Launceston in 1874 - was prasied at the 30th Annual Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards on Thursday.
Mr Andrews said award recognised Mr Wilson vast talent.
``These Awards are a way to recognise and encourage the writers who contribute so much to our state,'' he said.
``Congratulations to all the winners. I look forward to seeing their works in Victoria’s libraries, lectures and living rooms alike.''
