East Tamar Highway sealed off

Police were forced to close one northbound lane of the highway after the seal made himself comfortable on the warm bitumen about 3pm. 

The seal was on the road for about an hour before Police, Parks and Wildlife and Wildlife Management managed to encourage it back into the water. 

The seal was not injured on the road. 

Police remind people not to approach seals as they can be dangerous.
