Fire service undertaking training around Karoola

THE Tasmania Fire Service will host training exercises today between 7.30am and 4pm in the East Tamar area.

Volunteer fire brigades will train in and around the communities of Karoola, Turners Marsh, Underwood and Lilydale.

This training will be co-ordinated from Karoola Fire Station in Pipers River Road, Karoola.

The TFS advises that the exercises will result in an increase in firefighting vehicles on roads near Karoola Fire Station and surrounds.

The TFS regularly hosts large scale training exercises to enable local brigades to meet, learn from each other, practise their skills and consolidate training they have undertaken during simulations.
